Within 30 days from the mailing by the Attorney General of a notice of disapproval of a petition submitted under section 7 of this act, the petitioners may make a written application to the Attorney General for a hearing.\nb.\tUpon receipt of a timely written application for a hearing, the Attorney General shall schedule and conduct a hearing in accordance with the \"Administrative Procedure Act,\" P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.).
