Stat. § 52:18A-187","heading":"Data processing and telecommunications;  duties","body":"With respect to data processing and telecommunications, the administration or the department, as the case may be, shall:\na.  Assure the effectiveness of information processing throughout the State  government;\nb.  Advise in policy and planning decisions to insure that the State government is responsive to new programs involving data handling responsibilities;\nc.  Assure that the information processing capabilities of the State are kept current and abreast of changing technology;\nd.  Be the organization through which the agencies of the State government are kept informed as to current Statewide information processing capabilities and informed as to available machine sensible information;\ne.  Be responsible for the continued development of efficient uses of information processing;  and\nf.
