Stat. § 52:27D-141.10","heading":"Definitions relative to installation of electric vehicle charging stations in certain new residential construction.","body":"1.\tAs used in this act:\n\"Commissioner\" means the Commissioner of Community Affairs.\n\"Designated parking space\" means a parking space specifically designated for use by an owner of a particular dwelling unit, including, but not limited to, a garage, a deeded parking space, or a parking space in a limited common element that is restricted for use by one or more dwelling unit owners.\n\"Developer\" means any person who constructs or offers to construct a dwelling unit as part of a residential development.\n\"Dwelling unit\" means a single-family residence constructed as part of a residential development, which includes a designated parking space which is exclusive to that residence and not a common element or common area.\n\"Electric vehicle charging station\" means a station that is designed in compliance with the State Uniform Construction Code, adopted pursuant to P.L.1975, c.217 (C.52:27D-119 et seq.), that delivers electricity from a source outside an electric vehicle into one or more electric vehicles, and that provides, at a minimum, Level 2 charging that is capable of two-way communications, data sharing, and load control functionality with an electric public utility.\n\"Owner\" means any person who acquires a legal or equitable interest in a dwelling unit.\n\"Prospective owner\" means any person who contemplates acquiring a legal or equitable interest in a dwelling unit.\n\"Residential development\" means development undertaken for the purpose of creating 25 or more dwelling units for owner occupancy.\nL.2020, c.80, s.1.","path":["TITLE 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"40d29d4f5e2fd4f10e9c0a1b17780531ea77d841bb10f36e3fa385a779111753","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27d-141.9","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27d-141.11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
