Stat. § 52:27D-18.7","heading":"Extension of term as temporary chief financial officer.","body":"4.\tNotwithstanding any provision of section 8 of P.L.1988, c.110 (C.40A:9-140.13) to the contrary, a person appointed by a municipality to serve as a temporary chief financial officer who is serving in that position as of the effective date of P.L.2020, c.34 (C.52:27D-18.4 et al.) and whose term has not expired prior to the effective date of P.L.2020, c.34 (C.52:27D-18.4 et al.) may, subject to the approval of the Director of the Division of Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs, be reappointed as a temporary chief financial officer by that municipality following the termination of the temporary appointment for up to three subsequent one-year terms.
