Stat. § 52:27D-18.8","heading":"Extension of term as county temporary chief financial officer.","body":"5.\tNotwithstanding any provision of section 4 of P.L.1993, c.87 (C.40A:9-28.4) to the contrary, a person appointed by a county to serve as a temporary chief financial officer who is serving in that position as of the effective date of P.L.2020, c.34 (C.52:27D-18.4 et al.) and whose term has not expired prior to the effective date of P.L.2020, c.34 (C.52:27D-18.4 et al.) may, subject to the approval of the Director of the Division of Local Government Services in the Department of Community Affairs, be reappointed as a temporary chief financial officer by that county following the termination of the temporary appointment for up to two subsequent one-year terms.
