Stat. § 52:27D-29.24","heading":"Policy Center on Aging","body":"The Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs shall establish the New Jersey Policy Center on Aging at Rutgers, The State University.\nIt shall be the duty of the center to:\na.   Analyze and assist in the development of aging policies for New Jersey;\nb.   Conduct studies of gerontological issues, concerns and programs which impact on the State;\nc.   Act as a focal point for State support of gerontological research in the State; and\nd.   Conduct gerontological research which includes, but is not limited to:\n(1)  Demographic analysis of the effects of the State's economy on the elderly, the available housing stock and the general population distribution;\n(2)  Analysis of the cost of services, the use of general revenues, casino revenues and federal funding for services and the areas in which service gaps exist;\n(3)  Analysis of the long-term care system in the State, including an examination of alternative methods of care delivery such as health maintenance organizations and social health maintenance organizations; and\n(4)  Analysis of demographic data, service utilization, and other information which will assist the State in defining the needs of its elderly population.\nL. 1988, c. 139, s. 2.","path":["TITLE 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"ab526261d739f39e24bd68be69015bee552c0c999811b06fec4a51711e543553","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27d-29.23","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27d-29.25"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
