Stat. § 52:27D-369","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\na.   \"Commissioner\" means the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs;\nb.   \"Corporation\" means a neighborhood housing services corporation or umbrella corporation, as defined hereinafter, unless the context indicates otherwise;\nc.   \"Department\" means the Department of Community Affairs;\nd.   \"Fund\" means the Neighborhood Housing Services Grant Fund established pursuant to section 5 of this act;\ne.   \"Housing rehabilitation loan\" means any loan made by a neighborhood housing services corporation or umbrella corporation to a homeowner pursuant to section 7 of this act;\nf.   \"Neighborhood housing services corporation\" means a private, nonprofit, community-based corporation organized under Title 15A of the New Jersey Statutes to develop and administer a local neighborhood housing services program, established in connection with the National Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation or recognized by the commissioner as substantially the equivalent of a corporation so established;\ng.   \"Neighborhood housing services program\" means a program which is established and supervised by a neighborhood housing services corporation for the purpose of administering the corporation's goals and services within a specific neighborhood;\nh.   \"Residential borrower\" means any homeowner who has entered into a contract for a loan with a neighborhood housing services corporation or umbrella corporation as provided in section 7 of this act; and\ni.   \"Umbrella corporation\" means a neighborhood housing services corporation which establishes and supervises two or more neighborhood housing services corporations.\nL. 1987, c. 50, s. 4.","path":["TITLE 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"39cb8a72d3b527d1fd0de42aac6f4de7856d67f05dd1b0fca42590d4ab0ad3a3","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27d-368","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27d-370"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
