The Office of the Public Guardian for Elderly Adults shall maintain a Statewide registry of registered professional guardians and make all information in the registry available to the Administrative Director of the Courts for the use of the Superior Court, or to other interested parties upon request. The registry shall include the following information for each registered guardian:\n(1)\tfull name used within the past 10 years;\n(2)\tdate of birth;\n(3)\tbusiness address;\n(4)\tbusiness telephone number;\n(5)\teducational background and professional experience, including work in any related field germane to furnishing of guardianship services; and\n(6)\tthe insurance company issuing the registered guardian's professional liability insurance coverage;\nb.\tIn addition to the information listed in subsection a. of this section, if known to the public guardian, the registry shall include the following information for each registered guardian:\n(1)\twhether that person has ever been removed for cause or resigned as guardian in a specific case, the circumstances of the removal or resignation, and the case names, court locations and case numbers;\n(2)\tany judgment entered against the person as a result of the performance of services as a guardian;\n(3)\tany finding by a court that the person is accountable for malfeasance, nonfeasance or misfeasance;\n(4)\tany finding by a court that the person has violated the guardian's duties to the incapacitated adult, his estate or his insurance policy; and\n(5)\tany known pending or final licensing or disciplinary actions.\nL.2005,c.370,s.11.","path":["TITLE 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"c7d684ef21d57c2754f86bea4b2e1cf59a1b11c31549c064b777fc51b4716a73","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27g-39","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-27g-41"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
