Stat. § 52:32-31.2","heading":"Definitions relative to certain contracts as set-asides for businesses owned, operated by disabled veterans.","body":"2.\tAs used in this act:\n\"Contracting agency\" means the State or any board, commission, committee, authority or agency of the State.\n\"Department\" means the Department of the Treasury.\n\"Disabled veteran\" means a resident of this State who is certified by the federal Department of Veterans Affairs as having any degree of service-connected disability.\n\"Disabled veterans' business\" means a business which has its principal place of business in the State, is independently owned and operated and at least 51% of which is owned and controlled by persons who are disabled veterans or a business which has its principal place of business in this State and has been officially verified by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a service disabled veteran-owned business for the purposes of department contracts pursuant to federal law.\n\"Disabled veterans' business set-aside contract\" means a contract for goods, equipment, construction or services which is designated as a contract with respect to which bids are invited and accepted only from disabled veterans' businesses, or a portion of a contract when that portion has been so designated.\nL.2015, c.116, s.2.","path":["TITLE 52 STATE GOVERNMENT, DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICERS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"5855ab755e12bb686f07b4f9875b3ab2f947c6e2f70ed44fdce2dc62c7f19b3c","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-32-31.1","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-52-32-31.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
