Stat. § 9:12A-8","heading":"Transitional living program.","body":"7.\tA transitional living program shall provide residential care and treatment services for up to 18 months to a homeless youth 16 to 21 years of age who demonstrates the maturity to function with minimal adult supervision.\nThe program shall assist in the maintenance of a homeless youth in a living arrangement that will prepare the youth for independence and self-sufficiency through the direct provision of, or through referrals to, other organizations and agencies for services, as determined by the department's contract, which may include:\n(1)\tEducational assessment and attachment to an educational program;\n(2)\tCareer planning, employment and life skills training;\n(3)\tJob placement;\n(4)\tBudgeting and money management;\n(5)\tAssistance in securing housing appropriate to a homeless youth's needs and income; and\n(6)\tAssistance in accessing other social services as may be appropriate.\nL.1999,c.224,s.7.","path":["TITLE 9 CHILDREN--JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURTS"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"472de52901317be704d8740a1a381e20d0b5fea2dd0acb7fb74a4e9dfc24095a","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-9-12a-7","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-9-12a-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
