Stat. § 9:6A-10","heading":"Definitions","body":"For the purposes of this act:\na.   \"Child\" means a person under 18 years of age.\nb.   \"Child abuse\" means abuse, abandonment, cruelty or neglect of a child as defined in R.S. 9:6-1, endangering the welfare of a child as defined in N.J.S. 2C:24-4 or any sexual offense as defined in chapter 14 of Title 2C of the New Jersey Statutes which is committed against a child.\nL. 1986, c. 27, s. 1, eff.
