Stat. § App.A:9-43.2","heading":"County, municipal written emergency operations plans; coordination.","body":"19.\tEach county and municipality in the State shall prepare a written Emergency Operations Plan with all appropriate annexes necessary to implement the plan.  The development of all plans shall be coordinated with the Emergency Operations Plans of the State, county and neighboring municipalities to ensure a regional coordinated response and the efficient use of resources.\na.\tThese plans shall include, but not be limited to, provisions which shall be developed in consultation with:\n(1)\tthe Department of Agriculture, to support the needs of animals and individuals with an animal under their care, including domestic livestock, a domesticated animal, or a service animal, in a major disaster or emergency; and\n(2)\tthe Department of Health and Senior Services to evaluate the evacuation procedures of hospitals and other health care facilities located in each county and municipality, alternative sources of care for evacuated patients, and proposed sites of temporary shelter in the event of an emergency.\nb.\tEach plan shall include provisions that specifically address the need for the safe and timely evacuation of the families and dependents of the emergency responders rendering major disaster or emergency services.\nc.\tEach Emergency Operations Plan shall be adopted no later than one year after the State Emergency Planning Guidelines have been adopted by the State Office of Emergency Management and shall be evaluated at such subsequent scheduled review of the State Emergency Operations Plan.\nL.1989, c.222, s.19; amended 2006, c.92, s.2; 2011, c.178, s.9.","path":["TITLE 59 CLAIMS AGAINST PUBLIC ENTITIES"],"source_url":"https://pub.njleg.state.nj.us/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip","current_through":"P.L.2025, c.405, and J.R.22","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-08-27T17:54:13Z","sha256":"08c3a1dd3481eaa2cdb87ed8734a0b627e8d79fe3a5d9078e9e9d3a5f41749bb","source_id":"us-nj","stale":true,"prev":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-app.a-9-43.1","next":"us-nj/n.j.-stat.-app.a-9-43.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
