{"data":{"id":"us-nm/1-7-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"1-7-3","heading":"Rules and regulations; contents.","body":"The secretary of state and the county clerk shall not accept the rules and regulations of any political party for filing unless such rules and regulations provide:\nA. a method for nominating candidates for the general election;\nB. a method for calling and conducting conventions;\nC. a method for selection of delegates to conventions;\nD. a method for selection of state central committee members, a state chairman and other party officers, and all other members of governing bodies of the party;\nE. a method for filling vacancies in party offices, committees and other governing bodies;\nF. the powers and duties of party officers, committees and other governing bodies;\nG. for the structure of the state and county party organizations;\nH. that meetings to elect any party officers, including delegates, shall be held at a public place during the week specified by the state party chairman;\nI. that notice of such meetings shall be published by the officers of the county party organization in a newspaper of general circulation at least fourteen days prior to the meeting and the notice shall specify the time, date and place for holding the meeting; and\nJ. a method for amending the party rules and regulations.","path":["Chapter 1 - Elections","ARTICLE 7 Political Parties"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18502/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"19bc5846b2e1532f2da1ca21d68c1c670c208fc368076fbabe016a7a4e7ee258","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/1-7-2","next":"us-nm/1-7-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
