{"data":{"id":"us-nm/19-10a-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"19-10A-3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the State Carbon Dioxide Act [19-10A-1 to 19-10A-7 NMSA 1978]:\nA. \"gas or carbon dioxide\" means carbon dioxide whether in a gaseous or liquid form;\nB. \"producer\" means a person producing crude oil in New Mexico who:\n(1) is a participant in a carbon dioxide project for enhanced recovery of crude oil and related hydrocarbons from a reservoir in New Mexico; and\n(2) does not own or control a source of carbon dioxide which is sufficient to supply the carbon dioxide for the enhanced recovery project;\nC. \"refiner\" means a person who owns a petroleum refinery located in New Mexico; and\nD. \"state carbon dioxide\" means carbon dioxide which the commissioner of public lands may take in kind as royalty under a lease issued by the state or carbon dioxide which the commissioner of public lands has the right to purchase under leases issued pursuant to Sections 19-10-3 and 19-10-4 NMSA 1978.","path":["Chapter 19 - Public Lands","ARTICLE 10A Carbon Dioxide Act"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18519/index.do","current_through":"2025-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"dcd5928e38dc325c7ad234e4f8d65d997e052735e4393acf2b2d75c7c13e0e79","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/19-10a-2","next":"us-nm/19-10a-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
