{"data":{"id":"us-nm/21-1-26.11","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"21-1-26.11","heading":"Higher education department; additional duties.","body":"In addition to the duties imposed upon the higher education department by the Post-Secondary Educational Planning Act [Chapter 21, Article 2 NMSA 1978], the department shall plan and budget for the statewide adult basic education program and shall adopt and promulgate rules for all such adult educational programs. The department shall establish a uniform protocol for identifying, communicating with and providing direct and equitable access to funding for eligible agencies, which include:\nA. local educational agencies;\nB. community-based organizations;\nC. volunteer literacy organizations;\nD. post-secondary institutions;\nE. public or private nonprofit agencies;\nF. public libraries;\nG. public housing authorities; and\nH. a consortium of agencies, organizations, institutions, libraries or authorities as described in Section 203 of Public Law 105.","path":["Chapter 21 - State and Private Education Institutions","ARTICLE 1 General Provisions Relating to State Educational Institutions"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18521/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"0fdbbdf7b8a8bff1b7a91f8048109e888ea93b401967ebf08eef5567faaf1f6d","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/21-1-26.10","next":"us-nm/21-1-26.12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
