The state commission in carrying out its planning activities for post-secondary education shall consult with and invite the active participation of:\n(1) representatives of post-secondary educational institutions of the several types enumerated in Paragraph (2) of Subsection A of Section 21-2-2 NMSA 1978;\n(2) the public education commission;\n(3) the public education department;\n(4) representatives of public and private elementary and secondary schools;\n(5) the secretary of labor;\n(6) the tourism department;\n(7) the apprenticeship council;\n(8) the economic development department;\n(9) the state advisory council on vocational education;\n(10) the secretary of finance and administration or the secretary's designee;\n(11) persons familiar with the education needs of persons with a disability and persons disadvantaged by economic, racial or ethnic status;\n(12) representatives of business, industry, organized labor and agriculture;\n(13) the general public; and\n(14) private in-state post-secondary institutions.\nB. Whenever the planning activities carried out under the provisions of Section 21-2-5 NMSA 1978 are concerned with the types of post-secondary education enumerated in Subparagraphs (a) through (e) of Paragraph (1) of Subsection A of Section 21-2-2 NMSA 1978, the state commission shall directly involve the public education commission and the public education department in all planning activities.","path":["Chapter 21 - State and Private Education Institutions","ARTICLE 2 Post-Secondary Educational Planning"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18521/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"157127746b235b0958890a0d2f1f1d564418634be7a92d116f7bab6723855b70","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/21-2-5.1","next":"us-nm/21-2-7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
