{"data":{"id":"us-nm/24-6b-4","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"24-6B-4","heading":"Who may make anatomical gift before donor's death.","body":"Subject to the provisions of Section 8 [24-6B-8 NMSA 1978] of the Jonathan Spradling Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act, an anatomical gift of a donor's body or part may be made during the life of the donor for the purpose of transplantation, therapy, research or education in the manner provided in Section 5 [24-6B-5 NMSA 1978] of the Jonathan Spradling Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act by:\nA. the donor, if the donor is an adult or if the donor is a minor and is:\n(1) emancipated; or\n(2) authorized pursuant to state law to apply for an instruction permit because the donor is at least fifteen years of age;\nB. an agent of the donor, unless the power of attorney for health care or other record prohibits the agent from making an anatomical gift;\nC. a parent of the donor, if the donor is an unemancipated minor; or\nD. the donor's guardian.","path":["Chapter 24 - Health and Safety","ARTICLE 6B Jonathan Spradling Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18524/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"9d541f13d8061756917cf5dd1cb71580daf943201c010e4c8723cfa379a6efb9","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/24-6b-3","next":"us-nm/24-6b-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
