A dangerous drug intended for veterinary use which is not safe for animal use except under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian and for which adequate directions for use cannot be prepared, shall bear the legend \"CAUTION: federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian\" and the label shall meet the requirements of the federal act. Such drugs may be sold or distributed by a person possessing a limited license issued by the board under Subsection B of Section 61-11-14 NMSA 1978, on the order of a licensed veterinarian, provided adequate records of receipt and distribution are kept as required in the New Mexico Drug and Cosmetic Act [New Mexico Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act].\nB.
