{"data":{"id":"us-nm/28-17-15","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"28-17-15","heading":"Conflict of interest.","body":"The agency shall ensure that:\nA. no individual or a member of the immediate family of an individual involved in the designation of the ombudsman or the designation of a regional or local ombudsman is subject to a conflict of interest;\nB. no officer or employee of the office, ombudsman coordinator or representative, or a member of their immediate family, is subject to a conflict of interest; and\nC. any ombudsman:\n(1) does not have a direct involvement in the licensing or certification of a long-term care facility or of a provider of a long-term care service;\n(2) does not have an ownership or investment interest, represented by equity, debt or other financial relationship, in a long-term care facility or a long-term care service;\n(3) is not employed by, or participating in the management of, a long-term care facility; and\n(4) does not receive, or have the right to receive, directly or indirectly, remuneration in cash or in kind under a compensation arrangement with an owner or operator of a long-term care facility.","path":["Chapter 28 - Human Rights","ARTICLE 17 Long-Term Care Ombudsman"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18528/index.do","current_through":"2025-05-15","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"750834daa93a35846bebd27b05fd00c7c96953c1ddac00feb0d3f1b1f35557a9","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/28-17-14","next":"us-nm/28-17-16"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
