The attorney general may initiate an investigation of a complaint alleging a violation, or a systematic pattern of violations, of the provisions of Section 2 [29-21-2 NMSA 1978] of the Prohibition of Profiling Practices Act and take necessary actions as the attorney general deems appropriate.
