{"data":{"id":"us-nm/29-7c-2","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"29-7C-2","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Public Safety Telecommunicator Training Act:\nA. \"board\" means the law enforcement certification board;\nB. \"certified\" means meeting the training standards established by statute and rule as determined by the board;\nC. \"council\" means the New Mexico law enforcement standards and training council;\nD. \"director\" means the director of the New Mexico law enforcement academy;\nE. \"dispatch\" means the relay of information to public safety personnel by all forms of communication;\nF. \"high-quality telecommunicator cardiopulmonary resuscitation\" means the instructions that a telecommunicator provides to a bystander of a cardiac emergency on how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation;\nG. \"safety agency\" means a unit of state or local government, a special purpose district or a private business that provides police, firefighting or emergency medical services; and\nH. \"telecommunicator\" means an employee or volunteer of a safety agency who:\n(1) receives calls or dispatches the appropriate personnel or equipment in response to calls for police, fire or medical services; and\n(2) makes decisions affecting the life, health or welfare of the public or safety employees.","path":["Chapter 29 - Law Enforcement","ARTICLE 7C Public Safety Telecommunicator Training"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18529/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"8d6410b6ec223e3077cf9fd80d953b771b8b4985793c7ffb8fda3010fed470c5","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/29-7c-1","next":"us-nm/29-7c-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
