{"data":{"id":"us-nm/29-7c-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"29-7C-3","heading":"Qualifications for certification.","body":"An applicant for certification shall provide evidence satisfactory to the board that the applicant:\nA. is a citizen or legal resident of the United States and has reached the age of majority;\nB. holds a high school diploma or high school equivalency credential from an accredited institution;\nC. has not been convicted of, pled guilty to or entered a plea of nolo contendere to a:\n(1) felony charge; or\n(2) violation of a federal or state law, a local ordinance relating to aggravated assault or theft or a law involving moral turpitude within the three-year period immediately preceding the application;\nD. has not received a dishonorable discharge from the armed forces of the United States;\nE. is free from a physical, emotional or mental condition that might adversely affect the applicant's performance;\nF. is of good moral character;\nG. has met all other requirements for certification prescribed by the board; and\nH. has received a certificate attesting to the applicant's completion of an approved basic telecommunicator training program from the director.","path":["Chapter 29 - Law Enforcement","ARTICLE 7C Public Safety Telecommunicator Training"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18529/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"ec0bb87e21e05d47efafc2feff0f0fe0902349c63e4dcfddb39328aab26381c0","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/29-7c-2","next":"us-nm/29-7c-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
