{"data":{"id":"us-nm/30-31-21","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"30-31-21","heading":"Distribution to a minor.","body":"Except as authorized by the Controlled Substances Act, no person who is eighteen years of age or older shall intentionally distribute a controlled substance to a person under the age of eighteen years. Any person who violates this section with respect to a controlled substance enumerated in Schedule I, II, III or IV or a controlled substance analog of any controlled substance enumerated in Schedule I, II, III or IV is:\n(1) for the first offense, guilty of a second degree felony and shall be sentenced pursuant to the provisions of Section 31-18-15 NMSA 1978; and\n(2) for the second and subsequent offenses, guilty of a first degree felony and shall be sentenced pursuant to the provisions of Section 31-18-15 NMSA 1978.","path":["Chapter 30 - Criminal Offenses","ARTICLE 31 Controlled Substances"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18530/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"32275a10813a7a86dd4520ec9a9fff7dce2bb1f5ce45278f58622b2c2ba2c0d6","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/30-31-20","next":"us-nm/30-31-22"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
