{"data":{"id":"us-nm/4-50-15","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"4-50-15","heading":"[Failure to work or pay; penalty; use of fine money.]","body":"Any person summoned and called to do work hereunder as above provided, who shall fail to appear and do said work or to furnish a substitute who shall appear and do said work, or pay to the superintendent the sum or sums herein provided in lieu of said work, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction therefor before any justice of the peace [magistrate] shall be fined in a sum not more than fifty dollars [($50.00)], or imprisoned in the county jail not more than thirty days, or suffer both such fine and imprisonment.
