A petition for adoption may be filed in any county where:\n(1) a petitioner resides; or\n(2) the adoptee resides.\nB. A court that has jurisdiction under the Adult Adoption Act may decline to exercise jurisdiction any time before entering a decree if the court finds that under the circumstances of the case it is an inconvenient forum to make a determination.
