{"data":{"id":"us-nm/5-14-2","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"5-14-2","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Civic and Convention Center Funding Act:\nA. \"convention center fee\" means the fee imposed by a local government entity pursuant to the Civic and Convention Center Funding Act on vendees for the use of lodging facilities;\nB. \"county\" means a county within which a qualified municipality is located;\nC. \"local governmental entity\" means a qualified municipality or a county authorized by the Civic and Convention Center Funding Act to impose convention center fees;\nD. \"lodging facility\" means a hotel, motel or motor hotel, a bed and breakfast facility, an inn, a resort or other facility offering rooms for payment of rent or other consideration;\nE. \"qualified municipality\" means an incorporated municipality that has a population of more than fifty thousand but less than seventy thousand according to the most recent federal decennial census and that is located in a class A county;\nF. \"room\" means a unit of a lodging facility, such as a hotel room;\nG. \"vendee\" means a person who rents or pays consideration to a vendor for use of a room; and\nH. \"vendor\" means a person or his agent who furnishes rooms for occupancy for consideration.","path":["Chapter 5 - Municipalities and Counties","ARTICLE 14 Civic and Convention Center Funding"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18447/index.do","current_through":"2025-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"0f24cb433a3570966000856d8a95b83d158d104d7e93ce44f31607622fcfe8cf","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/5-14-1","next":"us-nm/5-14-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
