{"data":{"id":"us-nm/5-16-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"5-16-3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Regional Spaceport District Act:\nA. \"authority\" means the spaceport authority created pursuant to the Spaceport Development Act [58-31-1 to 58-31-17 NMSA 1978];\nB. \"board\" means the board of directors of a district;\nC. \"bond\" means a revenue bond issued by the authority on behalf of a district;\nD. \"combination\" means two or more governmental units that exercise joint authority;\nE. \"district\" means a regional spaceport district that is a political subdivision of the state created pursuant to the Regional Spaceport District Act;\nF. \"governmental unit\" means the state, a county or a municipality of the state or an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo located within the boundaries of the state;\nG. \"project\" means any land, building or other improvements acquired as part of a spaceport or associated with a spaceport or to aid commerce in connection with a spaceport and all real and personal property deemed necessary in connection with the spaceport;\nH. \"revenues\" means municipal regional spaceport gross receipts tax revenues and county regional spaceport gross receipts tax revenues; and\nI. \"spaceport\" means any facility in New Mexico at which space vehicles may be launched or landed, including all facilities and support infrastructure related to launch, landing or payload processing.","path":["Chapter 5 - Municipalities and Counties","ARTICLE 16 Regional Spaceport District"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18447/index.do","current_through":"2025-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"2a0c6e689f23891622ea80de4fc8e7bfd79eed1769559cb86dca41139713c9ee","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/5-16-2","next":"us-nm/5-16-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
