{"data":{"id":"us-nm/57-18-2","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"57-18-2","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Weighmaster Act:\nA. \"weighmaster\" means a natural person licensed under the provisions of the Weighmaster Act;\nB. \"vehicle\" means any device by which any property, produce, commodity or article is transported;\nC. \"director\" means the director of the state department of agriculture;\nD. \"board\" means the board of regents of New Mexico state university;\nE. \"public weighing\" means the determination of any weight upon which a sale is based, or upon which a basic charge or payment for services rendered is based, when the person making the weight determination is not a party to, or an agent of the party to, the transaction upon which the weight is based;\nF. \"third-party weighing\" means public weighing; and\nG. \"weight certificate\" means a document in the form of a certificate consecutively numbered and indicating the weight in accordance with the standards of weights and measures set forth in Sections 57-17-1 through 57-17-19 NMSA 1978.","path":["Chapter 57 - Trade Practices and Regulations","ARTICLE 18 Weighmasters"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18560/index.do","current_through":"2025-06-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"5d4a2755bfb7ce1b8c94615a79d76112504fdddd18e092602e82139d79775323","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/57-18-1","next":"us-nm/57-18-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
