{"data":{"id":"us-nm/6-10-1.1","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"6-10-1.1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in Chapter 6, Article 10 NMSA 1978:\nA. \"department\" means the department of finance and administration;\nB. \"deposit\" includes share, share certificate and share draft;\nC. \"eligible governing body\" means a local governing body, the governing authority of a tribe or any other governmental or quasi-governmental body created or authorized to be created pursuant to New Mexico statutes;\nD. \"finance officer\" means the chief financial officer of an eligible governing body or a participating government;\nE. \"local governing body\" means a political subdivision of the state, including a school district or a post-secondary educational institution;\nF. \"participating government\" means an eligible governing body or the state treasurer on behalf of the general fund that has invested money in the local government investment pool;\nG. \"secretary\" means the secretary of finance and administration;\nH. \"treasury\" means the master depository or cash concentration account held at the state's fiscal agent bank and administered by the office of the state treasurer, unless the context otherwise clearly indicates; and\nI. \"tribe\" means a federally recognized Indian nation, tribe or pueblo or a subdivision or agency of a federally recognized Indian nation, tribe or pueblo, located wholly or partially in New Mexico.","path":["Chapter 6 - Public Finances","ARTICLE 10 Public Money"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18506/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"67288506ed3a323054aa32f240e5dd6ce2f2d153f225c4be9a70409985633bd6","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/6-10-1","next":"us-nm/6-10-1.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
