{"data":{"id":"us-nm/6-24-8","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"6-24-8","heading":"Lottery games; adoption of rules, policies and procedures by board.","body":"The board may adopt rules, policies and procedures for the conduct of lottery games in general, including, but not limited to the following matters:\nA. the type of games to be conducted, which may include any type of lottery game not prohibited by the New Mexico Lottery Act;\nB. the percentage of lottery revenues that shall be returned to the public in the form of lottery prizes;\nC. the method and location of selecting or validating winning tickets;\nD. the manner and time of payment of prizes, which may include lump-sum payments or installments over a period of years;\nE. the manner of payments of prizes to the holders of winning tickets;\nF. the frequency of games and drawings or selection of winning tickets;\nG. the method to be used in selling tickets, which may include the use of electronic or mechanical devices;\nH. the price of each ticket and the number and size of prizes;\nI. the conduct of drawings and determination of winners of lottery games;\nJ. requirements governing lottery tickets, including, but not limited to, requirements that all instant-win tickets be recyclable; and\nK. any and all other matters necessary, desirable or convenient toward ensuring the efficient and effective operation of lottery games.","path":["Chapter 6 - Public Finances","ARTICLE 24 New Mexico Lottery"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18506/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"988fe645a2d45a6f5d418c2b81440fc1d27ebe0e3d7579f9d40fc5f8d48300a0","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/6-24-7","next":"us-nm/6-24-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
