{"data":{"id":"us-nm/6-26-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"6-26-3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Behavioral Health Capital Funding Act:\nA. \"authority\" means the New Mexico finance authority;\nB. \"capital project\" means acquisition, repair, renovation or construction of a behavioral health facility; purchase of land; or acquisition of capital equipment;\nC. \"department\" means the human services department [health care authority department];\nD. \"eligible entity\" means:\n(1) a nonprofit behavioral health facility that is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation for federal income tax purposes and serves primarily sick and indigent patients; or\n(2) a behavioral health care clinic that operates in a rural or other health care underserved area of the state, that is owned by a county or municipality and that meets department requirements for eligibility;\nE. \"fund\" means the behavioral health capital fund;\nF. \"operating capital\" means funds needed to meet short-term obligations, such as accounts payable, wages, debt servicing, lease and income tax payments; and\nG. \"project\" means a capital project or operating capital needed to support the increase of behavioral health services to sick and medically indigent persons.","path":["Chapter 6 - Public Finances","ARTICLE 26 Behavioral Health Capital Funding Act"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18506/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"e356766d72bc839e1979e44d4a565e1f2dd610bf2b25664f34274f75ac7259d4","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/6-26-2","next":"us-nm/6-26-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
