{"data":{"id":"us-nm/6-29-5","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"6-29-5","heading":"Board; duties.","body":"The board shall:\nA. adopt rules governing terms, conditions and priorities for providing financial assistance to tribes, including developing application and evaluation procedures and forms and qualifications for applicants and for projects;\nB. provide financial assistance to tribes for qualified projects on terms and conditions established by the board;\nC. authorize funding for qualified projects, including:\n(1) planning, designing, constructing, improving, expanding or equipping water and wastewater facilities, major water systems, electrical power lines, communications infrastructure, roads, health infrastructure, emergency response facilities and infrastructure needed to encourage economic development;\n(2) developing engineering feasibility reports for infrastructure projects;\n(3) inspecting construction of qualified projects;\n(4) providing special engineering services;\n(5) completing environmental assessments or archaeological clearances and other surveys for infrastructure projects;\n(6) acquiring land, easements or rights of way; and\n(7) paying legal costs and fiscal agent fees associated with development of qualified projects.","path":["Chapter 6 - Public Finances","ARTICLE 29 Tribal Infrastructure Act"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18506/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"ce3c0d74f0cc2d8eeddfca641d54a12fce677751da46ed65a5a45e0fcdb072c3","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/6-29-4","next":"us-nm/6-29-6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
