{"data":{"id":"us-nm/60-16-2","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"60-16-2","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Pecan Buyers Licensure Act:\nA. \"buyer\" means a person engaged in the business of purchasing in-shell pecans from a pecan producer and includes an accumulator, buying station, cleaning plant, sheller, dealer or broker;\nB. \"buying location\" means a physical location where a buyer accepts in-shell pecans or a physical location where records relating to the purchase of in-shell pecans are maintained in the event the purchase of in-shell pecans is brokered;\nC. \"department\" means the New Mexico department of agriculture, its staff or authorized agents;\nD. \"director\" means the director of the New Mexico department of agriculture;\nE. \"in-shell pecan\" means a pecan nut with its shell attached;\nF. \"license\" means an in-shell pecan buyer's license issued by the department pursuant to the Pecan Buyers Licensure Act;\nG. \"peace officer\" means a full-time salaried and commissioned or certified law enforcement officer of a police or sheriff's department that is part of or administered by the state or a political subdivision of the state;\nH. \"pecan producer\" means a person who grows pecans; and\nI. \"personal identification document\" means:\n(1) a driver's license;\n(2) a military identification card; or\n(3) a passport issued by the United States or by another country and recognized by the United States.","path":["Chapter 60 - Business Licenses","ARTICLE 16 Pecan Buyers Licensure"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18563/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"e25257faf9cf09d49cf3d185b5865dcb068e63ec751a5112253f754b40b42257","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/60-16-1","next":"us-nm/60-16-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
