{"data":{"id":"us-nm/61-11a-2","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"61-11A-2","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Impaired Pharmacists Act:\nA. \"board\" means the New Mexico board of pharmacy;\nB. \"board-approved intervenors\" means persons trained to intervention and designated by the board to implement the intervention process when necessary;\nC. \"committee\" means a committee appointed by the board to formulate and administer the impaired pharmacists program;\nD. \"impaired pharmacist\" means a pharmacist who is unable to practice pharmacy with reasonable skill, competency or safety to the public because of substance abuse, mental illness, the aging process or loss of motor skills;\nE. \"impaired pharmacist program\" means a plan approved by the board for treatment and rehabilitation of an impaired pharmacist;\nF. \"intervention\" means a process whereby an alleged impaired pharmacist is confronted by the board or board-approved intervenors who provide documentation that a problem exists and attempt to convince the pharmacist to seek evaluation and treatment;\nG. \"rehabilitation\" means the process whereby an impaired pharmacist advances in an impaired pharmacists program to an optimal level of competence to practice pharmacy without endangering the public; and\nH. \"verification\" means a process whereby alleged professional impairment is identified or established.","path":["Chapter 61 - Professional and Occupational Licenses","ARTICLE 11A Impaired Pharmacists"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18564/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"e3d1328d52d25d499f23ce1efc6f465083a66a611d4e2426998d6fa25fa12be5","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/61-11a-1","next":"us-nm/61-11a-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
