{"data":{"id":"us-nm/61-12g-12","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"61-12G-12","heading":"Council duties.","body":"The council shall develop guidelines for the board to consider for rulemaking with regard to:\nA. regulating the licensure of naturopathic doctors and determining the hours of continuing education units required for maintaining licensure as a naturopathic doctor;\nB. prescribing the manner in which records of examinations and treatments shall be kept and maintained;\nC. establishing standards for professional responsibility and conduct;\nD. identifying disciplinary actions and circumstances that require disciplinary action;\nE. developing a means to provide information to all licensees in the state;\nF. providing for the investigation of complaints against licensees or persons holding themselves out as naturopathic doctors in the state;\nG. providing for the publication of information for the public about licensees and the practice of naturopathic medicine in the state;\nH. providing for an orderly process for reinstatement of a license;\nI. establishing criteria for advertising or promotional materials;\nJ. establishing by rule, in accordance with the Naturopathic Doctors' Practice Act:\n(1) continuing education hours and content;\n(2) standards for the state jurisprudence examination;\n(3) schedules for providing licensing examinations and for the issuance of examination results;\n(4) procedures and standards for reviewing licensing examination scores; and\n(5) procedures for reviewing transcripts demonstrating completion of the approved naturopathic medical educational program;\nK. the requirements for issuance and renewal of licenses; and\nL. any other matter necessary to implement the Naturopathic Doctors' Practice Act.","path":["Chapter 61 - Professional and Occupational Licenses","ARTICLE 12G Naturopathic Doctors' Practice"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18564/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"0bb660f923b6d103272088e6ffb8ffd40a9014588616a77caafacd37a395e875","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/61-12g-11","next":"us-nm/61-12g-13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
