(Repealed effective July 1, 2030.)","body":"The sheltering committee shall:\nA. develop a voluntary statewide dog and cat spay and neuter program in conjunction with animal shelters and euthanasia agencies;\nB. develop criteria for individuals, nonprofit organizations, animal shelters and euthanasia agencies to receive assistance for dog and cat spaying and neutering from the animal care and facility fund; provided that assistance to individuals and nonprofit organizations shall only be given to individuals who have, or to nonprofit organizations that shall only provide assistance to service recipients who have, a household income that does not exceed two hundred percent of the current federal poverty level guidelines published by the United States department of health and human services; and\nC. recommend to the board the disbursements of money from the animal care and facility fund to qualifying individuals, nonprofit organizations, animal shelters and euthanasia agencies.","path":["Chapter 61 - Professional and Occupational Licenses","ARTICLE 14 Veterinary Medicine"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18564/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"befe388538fbd9a034e26983e0b607447148fbfec9f8ac54d098ee14ab637901","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/61-14-7","next":"us-nm/61-14-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
