(Repealed effective July 1, 2028.)","body":"A license to practice as a speech-language pathologist shall be issued to a person who files a completed application, accompanied by the required fees and documentation; certifies that the applicant is not guilty of any of the activities listed in Section 61-14B-21 NMSA 1978; and submits satisfactory evidence that the applicant:\nA. holds at least a master's degree in speech pathology, speech-language pathology or communication disorders or an equivalent degree regardless of degree name and meets the academic requirements for certification by a national professional association; and either\nB. currently holds certification by a national professional association in the area for which the applicant is seeking licensure; or\nC. has completed the current academic, practicum and employment experience requirements for certification by a national professional association in the area for which the applicant is applying for license and has passed a recognized standard national examination in speech-language pathology.","path":["Chapter 61 - Professional and Occupational Licenses","ARTICLE 14B Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18564/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"585c23a8053e4ef12b350c678c6bf45f5499bfff8aec0d9100bed7530ddad8de","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/61-14b-11","next":"us-nm/61-14b-12.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
