(Repealed effective July 1, 2030.)","body":"Except as provided in Section 61-1-34 NMSA 1978, the department shall establish a schedule of reasonable fees as follows:\nA. private investigator fees:\n(1) application fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\n(2) initial private investigator's license fee or license renewal fee, not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300); and\n(3) initial private investigations manager license fee or license renewal fee, not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200);\nB. private patrol operator fees:\n(1) application fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\n(2) initial private patrol operator's license fee or license renewal fee, not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300); and\n(3) initial private patrol operations manager license fee or license renewal fee, not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200);\nC. private investigations employee or private patrol employee, initial registration fee or registration renewal fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\nD. private investigation company or private patrol company, initial license fee or renewal license fee, not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300);\nE. security guard fees:\n(1) level one or level two security guard registration fee or registration renewal fee, not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00); and\n(2) level three security guard registration fee or registration renewal fee, not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75.00);\nF. polygraph examiners:\n(1) application fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\n(2) initial polygraph examiner's license fee or license renewal fee, not to exceed four hundred dollars ($400); and\n(3) examination fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\nG. instructors:\n(1) application fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100); and\n(2) initial registration or registration renewal, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100); and\nH. other fees applying to private investigators, private patrol operators, polygraph examiners and instructors:\n(1) change in license fee, not to exceed two hundred dollars ($200);\n(2) late fee on license or registration renewals, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100);\n(3) special event permit fee, not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100); and\n(4) special event license fee for a private patrol company, not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00).","path":["Chapter 61 - Professional and Occupational Licenses","ARTICLE 27B Private Investigations"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18564/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"5093284c067e7f8ebb65c905442b76fb0c57b7c099cb779e413df9a8ce420e4c","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/61-27b-19.1","next":"us-nm/61-27b-21"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
