The notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in each county of this state. The advertisement must be in a form that, in the judgment of the administrator, is likely to attract the attention of the general public. The advertisement shall contain:\nA. the website on which to search for information about abandoned properties;\nB. the email address of the administrator;\nC. the telephone number and physical mailing address of the administrator;\nD. a statement explaining that property of the owner is presumed to be abandoned and has been taken into the protective custody of the administrator; and\nE. a statement providing information about the property and the return to the property's owner is available to a person having a legal or beneficial interest in the property, upon request to the administrator.","path":["Chapter 7 - Taxation","ARTICLE 8A Uniform Unclaimed Property Act"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18507/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:19Z","sha256":"69b36afd07dd1e15e1de26fb5d77dbac6553bd9ed41bc8f6f5101dbe650d9911","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/7-8a-8","next":"us-nm/7-8a-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
