{"data":{"id":"us-nm/71-7-4","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"71-7-4","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Advanced Energy Technologies Economic Development Act:\nA. \"alternative fuel\" means natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, electricity, hydrogen, a fuel mixture containing not less than eighty-five percent ethanol or methanol, a fuel mixture containing not less than twenty percent vegetable oil or a water-phased hydrocarbon fuel emulsion consisting of a hydrocarbon base and water in an amount not less than twenty percent by volume of the total water-phased fuel emulsion;\nB. \"clean energy\" means alternative fuels, energy efficiency, renewable energy and fuel cells;\nC. \"department\" means the energy, minerals and natural resources department;\nD. \"energy efficiency\" means the application of technology resulting in the reduced or improved use of energy;\nE. \"fuel cell\" means equipment using an electrochemical process to generate electricity and heat;\nF. \"fund\" means the clean energy grants fund;\nG. \"renewable energy\" means thermal or electrical energy generated by means of a low- or zero-emissions generation technology that has substantial long-term production potential, including solar, wind, geothermal, landfill gas or biomass, but does not include fossil fuel or nuclear power; and\nH. \"secretary\" means the secretary of energy, minerals and natural resources.","path":["Chapter 71 - Energy and Minerals","ARTICLE 7 Advanced Energy Technologies Economic Development Act"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18574/index.do","current_through":"2025-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"fb95808254f7f173740d90d67c5738aa520ba17ec129b921665827b706016cdd","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/71-7-3","next":"us-nm/71-7-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
