{"data":{"id":"us-nm/73-25-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"73-25-3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Regional Transit District Act:\nA. \"board\" means the board of directors of a district;\nB. \"bond\" means a revenue bond;\nC. \"combination\" means two or more governmental units that exercise joint authority;\nD. \"commission\" means the state transportation commission;\nE. \"construct\" or \"construction\" means the planning, designing, engineering, acquisition, installation, construction or reconstruction of a regional transit system;\nF. \"district\" means a regional transit district that is a political subdivision of the state created pursuant to the Regional Transit District Act;\nG. \"governmental unit\" means the state, a county or a municipality of the state or an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo located within the boundaries of the state;\nH. \"regional transit system\" means a property, improvement or system designed to be compatible with established state and local transportation plans that transports or conveys passengers within a region by means of a high-occupancy vehicle, including an automobile, truck, bus, van or railcar; and\nI. \"revenues\" means tolls, fees, rates, charges, assessments, grants, contributions or other income and revenues received by the district.","path":["Chapter 73 - Special Districts","ARTICLE 25 Regional Transit District"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18576/index.do","current_through":"2026-05-20","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"bd4d698af6235f22566363d32ec9c054e925bc0ea8337bc031989f0ef441879e","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/73-25-2","next":"us-nm/73-25-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
