{"data":{"id":"us-nm/75-10-3","jurisdiction":"us-nm","citation":"75-10-3","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in the Natural Heritage Conservation Act:\nA. \"committee\" means the natural lands protection committee;\nB. \"conservation entity\" means a private nonprofit charitable corporation or trust authorized to do business in New Mexico that has tax-exempt status as a public charity pursuant to the federal Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and that has the power to acquire, hold or maintain land or interests in land;\nC. \"conservation project\" means the acquisition of conservation or agricultural easements from a willing seller or a land restoration project;\nD. \"department\" means the energy, minerals and natural resources department;\nE. \"fund\" means the natural heritage conservation fund; and\nF. \"qualified entity\" means a state agency, a state educational institution named in Article 12, Section 11 of the constitution of New Mexico, a political subdivision of the state or, for conservation projects wholly within New Mexico, an Indian tribe or pueblo.","path":["Chapter 75 - Miscellaneous Natural Resource Matters","ARTICLE 10 Natural Heritage Conservation"],"source_url":"https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmsa-unanno/en/item/18578/index.do","current_through":"2026-07-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T15:02:20Z","sha256":"057abcfcf72a67807ff50e0547e4e5f90c6df119384e794751e8836489310064","source_id":"us-nm","stale":false,"prev":"us-nm/75-10-2","next":"us-nm/75-10-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
