{"data":{"id":"us-nv/nrs-111.410","jurisdiction":"us-nv","citation":"NRS 111.410","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in NRS 111.390 to 111.440, inclusive, unless the context otherwise requires:\n1. “Easement for conservation” means a nonpossessory interest of a holder in real property, which imposes limitations or affirmative obligations and:\n(a) Retains or protects natural, scenic or open-space values of real property;\n(b) Assures the availability of real property for agricultural, forest, recreational or open-space use;\n(c) Protects natural resources;\n(d) Maintains or enhances the quality of air or water; or\n(e) Preserves the historical, architectural, archeological, paleontological or cultural aspects of real property.\n2. “Holder” means:\n(a) A governmental body empowered to hold an interest in real property; or\n(b) A charitable corporation, charitable association or charitable trust which has among its powers or purposes to:\n(1) Retain or protect the natural, scenic or open-space values of real property;\n(2) Assure the availability of real property for agricultural, forest, recreational or open-space use;\n(3) Protect natural resources;\n(4) Maintain or enhance the quality of air or water; or\n(5) Preserve the historical, architectural, archeological, paleontological or cultural aspects of real property.\n3. “Right of enforcement by a third person” means a right provided in an easement for conservation to enforce any of the easement’s terms granted to a governmental body, charitable corporation, charitable association or charitable trust who is not a holder of the easement although qualified to be one.","path":["TITLE 10 — PROPERTY RIGHTS AND TRANSACTIONS","CHAPTER 111 - ESTATES IN PROPERTY; CONVEYANCING AND RECORDING","EASEMENTS FOR CONSERVATION"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-111.html#NRS111Sec410","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:31Z","sha256":"f55d86d3aa54da2824d0d007e724039246bf85b32b29ddffdcbd85e141f7191f","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-111.400","next":"us-nv/nrs-111.420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
