If the resolution adopted pursuant to NRS 266.386 calls a special election, the city clerk shall cause a notice of the election to be published in a newspaper printed in the county and having a general circulation in the city at least once a week for 2 consecutive weeks by two weekly insertions a week apart, the first publication to be not more than 14 days nor less than 8 days next preceding the election.\n2.
