The town board shall choose one of its members to act as chair of the town board and one member to act as town clerk. A deputy town clerk may be appointed by the town board, which shall fix his or her salary.\n2. The chair of the town board shall:\n(a) Preside over meetings of the town board.\n(b) Perform other duties assigned by the board.\n3.
