A department is a local government employer for the purpose of the Government Employee-Management Relations Act and a public employer for the purpose of the Public Employees’ Retirement Act.\n2. In negotiations arising under the provisions of chapter 288 of NRS:\n(a) The committee or two or more persons designated by the committee; and\n(b) The sheriff or a person designated by the sheriff,\nÊ shall represent the department.\n3.
