Upon making an appointment to fill a vacancy in an elected office, the appointing authority shall notify the filing officer for that elected office. The notice must include:\n(a) The name, residence address and telephone number of the appointed person;\n(b) The political party of the appointed person; and\n(c) The term of the appointment.\n2. This section applies to each appointment to fill a vacancy in an elected office, including, without limitation, the initial appointment to fill a vacancy in a newly created elected office.\n3.
