Every officer who willfully makes a payment of salary or compensation contrary to the provisions of this chapter and any officer who signs, countersigns, or authorizes the signing or countersigning of any warrant for such a payment, and the sureties on the officer’s official bond, are liable to the State of Nevada therefor.\n2. An action to recover such a payment may be maintained in the district court of any county by the Administrator or a member of the Commission.\n3.
