{"data":{"id":"us-nv/nrs-3.026","jurisdiction":"us-nv","citation":"NRS 3.026","heading":"Chief Judge in certain judicial districts: Additional duties. [Effective through June 30, 2026.]","body":"1. In each judicial district that includes a county whose population is 100,000 or more, in addition to the other duties set forth in NRS 3.025:\n(a) The Chief Judge shall ensure that:\n(1) The procedures which govern the consideration and disposition of cases and other proceedings within the jurisdiction of the district court are applied as uniformly as practicable; and\n(2) Cases and other proceedings within the jurisdiction of the district court are considered and decided in a timely manner.\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection 2, the Chief Judge shall establish procedures for addressing grievances that are:\n(1) Submitted to the Chief Judge by a party in a case or other proceeding within the jurisdiction of the district court; and\n(2) Directly related to the administration of the case or other proceeding.\n2. For the purposes of paragraph (b) of subsection 1, a party in a case or other proceeding within the jurisdiction of the district court may not submit to the Chief Judge a grievance that:\n(a) Addresses, in whole or in part, the merits of the case or other proceeding; or\n(b) Challenges, in whole or in part, the merits of any decision or ruling in the case or other proceeding that is made by:\n(1) The district court; or\n(2) A master or other person who is acting pursuant to an order of the district court or pursuant to any authority that is granted to the master or other person by a specific statute, including, without limitation, NRS 3.405, 3.475 and 3.500.","path":["TITLE 1 — STATE JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT","CHAPTER 3 - DISTRICT COURTS","COURTS AND JUDGES"],"source_url":"https://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-003.html#NRS003Sec026","current_through":"2025 session (NRS as revised 2026-08-25)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T05:51:29Z","sha256":"7240c5952e0ea153cca8fc8d7838dcf8550182254f0ccf7dbc897658509a09ed","source_id":"us-nv","stale":true,"prev":"us-nv/nrs-3.025--2","next":"us-nv/nrs-3.026--2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
