Except as otherwise provided by specific statute, if the estimated annual amount required to perform a contract is more than $50,000 but not more than $100,000, the governing body or its authorized representative:\n(a) Shall solicit responses from two or more persons capable of performing the contract, if such persons are available; and\n(b) May advertise the contract in the manner prescribed in NRS 332.045.\n2.
